MASSENA -- Relay for Life of Massena/Louisville has started its new fundraising season which will run through Aug. 31, 2017 and benefit the American Cancer Society and cancer research.
Last year's Relay for Life season saw seven area teams raise over $20,000.
The Massena/Louisville chapter is currently seeking volunteers for its planning committee. The committee generally meets once a month beginning in October and each member is assigned different tasks.
Those interested in starting a new Relay team or joining a current team are always welcome. Aside from fundraising efforts, most events require laborers and general assistance. Information and shared experiences are available at https://relaynation.relayforlife.org/myrelaynation.
Monetary donations can be made at www.relayforlife.org/massenany.
Luminarias in honor of loved ones who have lost battles with cancer can also be purchased online and will be displayed during the main Relay event in June.
