HOPKINTON -- A Hopkinton man was jailed Tuesday following a sexual offense complaint reported to state police Aug. 7.
Kenneth J. Snyder, 37, a registered sex offender was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both felonies, troopers said.
He was also charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, officers said.
Troopers said Snyder touched the private parts of a 16-year old female while she was still clothed on Aug. 7 in the Fort Jackson area.
During their investigation, troopers say they discovered that Snyder violated an order of protection by having contact with a 17-year old female and protected party on Aug. 6 in Hopkinton.
Snyder was ordered held on cash bail, police said.
