MORRISTOWN -- A Redwood resident was arrested Sunday after fleeing a property-damage accident in which a truck crashed and burned on State Highway 37, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Shayne L. Figured, no age listed, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to use a designated lane.

After crashing the vehicle, officers said Figured fled on foot from the scene but was apprehended in the woods a short distance away by Border Patrol.

State police and the Morristown Fire Department were also on scene.

Figured was transported by Morristown Rescue to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for treatment.

Figured is to appear in Morristown court at a later date.
