POTSDAM -- Red Ladder Designs, 31 Maple St., is now offering a variety of homemade items that are knitted, sewn or quilted.
“I’ve wanted to open a business and sell the items I’ve made for a long time,” said Deborah White, Norwood.
White, who opened the store in July, was born in Canton and says she has always been a crafter having made lots of “goodies” for herself as well as giving her work to friends and family as gifts.
White says she makes non-traditional quilts crafted only of local products bought from mom and pop stores in the area. She uses fiber from alpacas that live at her parent’s residence in Canton to knit some of her creations.
Some of the items for sale at the shop include mittens, socks, table runners and bags.
“I am open to taking requests if someone is interested,” she said.
View White’s finished products at www.redladderdesigns.com, www.facebook.com/pages/Red-Ladder-Designs/413226548777877 or stop in the store.
To contact White call her at 854-4792.
“I would love for people to stop and see the store and help support locally purchased and created products,” White said.
