STOCKHOLM – The American Red Cross reported Monday afternoon that they responded to the site of a fire on State Highway 420 here to provide emergency aid to two people in connection with the incident.

The Brasher Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire and the West Stockholm fire company was on standby.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to two adults affected by the fire. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items.

In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire, an agency press release said.

No other details were available late Monday afternoon.
