GOUVERNEUR -- Volunteers from the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross provided emergency aid to one adult and one child after a home fire early Friday morning on U.S. Highway 11.
A 15-year-old died in the fire. For details on the fire, see earlier story.
The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes, and seasonal garments.
In the coming days, Red Cross says staff and volunteers will remain available to help navigate the road to recovery.
The Red Cross is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide short and long-term assistance to those affected by disasters.
