POTSDAM -- Community Performance Series will again offer the Rebecca Kelly Ballet dance camp and residency July 5 to 9 at SUNY Potsdam.
The camp will culminate in a performance Saturday, July 9 featuring the Rebecca Kelly ONSTAGE dancers and camp participants.
The camp offers programs and activities for dancers from ages two to adult. Programs include week-long intensives, daily technique classes and ONSTAGE camps that offer the opportunity to train and perform with a professional company. Additionally, Kids Co-Motion introduces the youngest campers to dance and offers parent-child interactions.
The eight-member Rebecca Kelly Ballet ensemble has performed in major New York City theaters and toured and taught throughout the U.S. and Europe since 1980. RKB features contemporary classical dance, and ballet performed on pointe, with Kelly's characteristic undulating torsos, coils and spirals, curving arms and surprising off-center balances.
Prices range from $240 for the ONSTAGE full-day intern program to $25 per daily technique class, with an "early bird" discount of 20 percent until May 15.
