HAMMOND -- Early this week, Hammond Central School students who are part of Reality Check visitied the state capitol in Albany.
The group, according to their news release, is "dedicated to exposing the manipulative marketing techniques of ‘Big Tobacco.'"
While at the capitol, the youth met with a number of their local legislators including Assemblyman Billy Jones, D-Chateaugay, Senator Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, Assemblywoman Addie Jenne, D-Theresa, Senator Joe Griffo, R-Rome and Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-Black River.
They met with the reps "to advocate for Reality Check and discuss all of activities that they are involved in locally," the group said.
