Rain is expected in St. Lawrence County today and tonight before skies clear some on Tuesday followed by a slight chance of rain Wednesday.

Below freezing temperatures are expected Wednesday and Thursday nights.

This week will feature several swings in the weather as we see warm showers move into the North Country today followed by a sharp cold front overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

This pattern will be repeated midweek with more rain and mountain snow showers.

High temperatures today and Friday are expected in the mid 50s with lows both nights around 40, with lower temps in the mountains.

Tuesday through Thursday highs are predicted to be in the upper 30 to mid 40s, and overnight lows Tuesday night around 40, and Wednesday and Thursday night in the mid-20s.

Some minor snow accumulation is possible this week in the higher terrain, forecasters say.
