Clouds and moisture from a low pressure area along the mid-Atlantic coast will move north into St. Lawrence County today, with rain showers developing across the region this afternoon and tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs today will be around 58 with overnight lows near 48, the service says. Rain showers could hit the area this afternoon through tonight and into Wednesday.
The high Wednesday will climb to around 70 with a 30 percent chance of rain in the morning. The service says the overnight low Wednesday will be near 52 with partly cloudy skies.
Thursday will see warmer temperatures with highs in the 70s to lower 80s under partly sunny skies, NWS says.
The forecast through the beginning of next week is as follows:

A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Northeast wind around 6 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
Thursday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. South wind 5 to 7 mph.

A chance of showers before 10pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10pm and 1am, then a chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Southeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
