The National Weather Service has a long stretch of wet weather forecast for St. Lawrence County.

Meteorologists say Tuesday night brings a 30 percent chance of rain and fog with temperatures in the 40s.

Wednesday is predicted to come with up to 90 percent chances of rain during the afternoon and at nightwith temperatures getting to highs just above 50 and lows around 40.

Thursday brings up to 70 percent chances of rain during the day, with possible snow in the higher elevations at night and more rain in the low-lying areas. Temperatures are forecast at a high around 47 and low around 36.

Friday brings up to a 40 percent chance of snowshowers and a 30 percent chance of snow at night. High tempertures are predicted around 40 and lows around 30.

The detailed forecast:

Tuesday night - A chance of rain before 7pm, then patchy drizzle after 11pm. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 40. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday - Rain, mainly after noon. High near 50. Light east wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday night - Rain. Low around 43. Breezy, with an east wind 14 to 20 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday - A chance of rain before 7am, then showers likely, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday night - Showers likely, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy, with a low around 36. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday - A chance of rain and snow showers before 11am, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, with a high near 40. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
