Rain is expected to return to the North Country over the next few days, along with humidity, according to the National Weather Service.
The service is predicting heavy rain Sunday through Monday night, with mostly sunny conditions to briefly appear Tuesday, before the return of rain Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are expected to hover in the high 70's to low 80's through Thursday, according to the service.

• Today: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind around 6 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 76. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Monday Night: A chance of showers before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
