Mainly cloud skies with areas of light rain showers will continue through tonight with a gradual clearing trend expected by midweek in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Cool temps will prevail today with highs in the 50s to low 60s.

Showers are likely this morning with a 60 percent chance of rain for the day with light and variable winds, NWS says.

Showers are likely tonight, mainly between 2 and 5 a.m. The overnight low will be around 55 with calm winds.

Monday will see a 30 percent chance of showers before 9 a.m. and a high near 65 with winds of 5 to 7 mph., NWS says.

Much warmer temps with sunshine are expected by midweek as a large dome of high pressure develops, the service says.

Highs will be in the 70s from Tuesday through Friday before cooling down for the weekend.
