MASSENA -- The village board will hold a public hearing for new taxicab regulations April 4 at 5:45 p.m.
They tried to pass the law in February but backed down after hearing concerns from local cab company operators.
The new law, which they will try to pass at the April 4 meeting, extends the acceptable age of cabs from 10 years to 12 and mandates that all cab drivers be drug tested prior to beginning employment, at the company’s expense.
Village trustees suggested no further revisions before voting on Tuesday to set the hearing.
