The Princeton Review has named St. Lawrence University in Canton and Clarkson University in Potsdam as among the “best in the nation,” according to press releases from the two schools.
SLU is “one of the nation’s best colleges for students seeking a superb education with great career preparation at an affordable price,” according to the review.
Clarkson is “one of the nation's best colleges for students seeking great academics, outstanding career preparation, and generous financial aid,” the review is quoted as saying.
Both schools are cited in the recent publication “Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck.”
The schools were chosen based on “return on investment” ratings it tallied for 650 schools last year, using about 40 data points that covered things such as “academics, cost and financial aid, graduation rates, student debt, alumni salaries and school personnel job satisfaction,” the publication claims.
