FOWLER – Residents of this southwestern St. Lawrence County town have been warned that bombing practice at nearby Fort. Drum Friday could get loud.
Higher than normal training noise is expected Sept. 27 in the vicinity of Range 48, near Antwerp and Fowler.
The Air Force's 96th Bomb Squadron from Barksdale, Louisiana will have live fire training during the afternoon hours that day.
“The anticipated noise should not be a cause for alarm,” an announcement from the Army base said.
Anyone with noise concerns should call the New York State Airspace Hotline at 1-800-228-3567.
