HANNAWA FALLS -- Brookfield Renewable Energy Group will be lowering the water level behind Hannawa Dam on the Raquette River approximately 2.5 feet below normal in to perform maintenance on the dam.
The water level will be lowered starting early Wednesday July 22 in preparation for the work to be done on Thursday, July 23.
The water level will be returned to normal on Friday July 24, 2015.
Dependent on the weather and flow conditions in the river, the public may see lower than normal water levels leading up to July 22.
