POTSDAM -- Lawrence Avenue Elementary third grade physical education students recently traveled to Lake Placid for a glimpse of the Olympic experience.
Organizers said the students toured the ski jump facility, went tubing, skated on the Olympic Oval and watched a hockey game.
This activity served as a culmination of their ice skating unit in which students were improving their skating skills weekly at Pine Street Arena, organizers said.
