POTSDAM -- Potsdam Central School Athletic Director Mark Wilson will serve as an acting principal from Dec. 17 until Jan. 17.
Superintendent Patrick Brady said elementary principal Larry Jenne was granted a one-month leave of absence for medical reasons.
"Larry Jenne is taking a leave for a long delayed surgery and is scheduling it around the holiday break so he does not miss an extended amount of school," Brady said in an emailed response.
Jenne is expected to return Jan. 17.
Until then Wilson, who also has a degree in administration will assume the role.
