POTSDAM -- A new ranking published last week in USA Today ranks Clarkson University as one of the "top 10 engineering colleges in the U.S."
USA Today says that "the list breaks down the top 10 places to get an engineering degree in the U.S. The list comes from College Factual and is a ranking of colleges based on their overall quality. Salary data is provided by PayScale. Engineering is one of the highest paid degrees you can get — and it’s a popular choice for students who are interested in building and developing products, as well as for those who have a knack for math and science."
“Clarkson is a small private university located in a rural, northern New York town. Despite its size, the university offers an excellent education in the field of engineering. The school has a low student loan default rate and is considered a good value for the money. The average starting salary for someone with an engineering degree from Clarkson is $58,000,” the article says.
