MASSENA — A Potsdam woman was jailed on a felony charge for renting a vehicle from Massena Airport in June and failing to return it, according to state police.
Police said Martha L. Buck, 47, rented a 2012 Kia June 30, troopers said. After numerous attempts were made by the company to get the vehicle returned, and the business was no longer able to obtain payment using the original credit card provided, an arrest warrant was issued.
On Aug. 17 the vehicle was located and recovered at Bradford Regional Airport in Pennsylvania by Pennsylvania State Police.
Buck was taken into custody without incident Wednesday at 5;30 p.m. at Letchworth State Park in Castile.
Buck was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, felony.
She was transported to the state police station in Massena where she was processed.
Buck was arraigned in Massena court by Judge Serguson and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail on $750 bail or $1,500 bond.
Her next court date was listed as Sept. 22.
