POTSDAM -- State troopers say they have received bloodwork for a woman who crashed her car in June and upgraded her driving while intoxicated count.

Sara B. Cutler, 28 is now charged with aggravated DWI, speeding, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, moving from a lane unsafely and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.

The bloodwork indicates her BAC was .29 at the time of the crash, troopers said. The legal threshold for aggravated DWI is .29 percent.

Cutler was operating a 2003 Hyundai Accent north on River Road in the town of Potsdam, when she failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of her vehicle, troopers say.

The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the driver's door. During the accident investigation, troopers noticed a strong odor of alcohol emanated from the vehicle.

Cutler smelled of alcoholic beverage, and had glassy blood shot eyes, officers said.

An empty wine bottle and beer can were located inside the vehicle. Cutler suffered a bruised arm and was transported to Canton Potsdam Hospital, where troopers took a blood sample.

The blood kit result was a BAC of .29 percent. Cutler was issued tickets returnable in the Town of Potsdam Court on Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
