POTSDAM -- A woman who allegedly hosted a drinking party for underage people is charged with numerous misdemeanor counts.
A woman from Malone was charged with having inappropriate contact with a minor female at the party.
Lisa M. Baker, 39, of Potsdam, was arrested Wednesday by state police and charged in connection with the party at her house on Ellis Road the night of May 8 and into the next morning.
Troopers said their investigation revealed Baker provided alcoholic beverages to teenagers at her residence, ranging in age from 14 to 19 years old. Baker also was found to have permitted a 14 year old female victim to engage in inappropriate contact with a then-18-year-old female present at the residence, according to troopers.
Baker was charged with seven counts of unlawfully dealing with a child, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of second-degree criminal nuisance, all of which are misdemeanors.
Baker was arraigned before Town of Canton Justice Christopher Curley, released under the supervision of probation, and is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Potsdam Court on June 23.
Also charged was Elissa B. Finnegan, 19, Malone, who was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Potsdam Court on June 23 to answer charges of endangering the welfare of a child, and was released.
