POTSDAM -- A Potsdam woman was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated after Potsdam police said they received a report of a highly intoxicated female in the Price Chopper parking lot, 201 Market St.
Mary Jane Samach, 55, was charged with first-offense DWI at 10:59 a.m., officers said.
She was interviewed by officers who reportedly determined she was intoxicated.
Police said she had been operating a motor vehicle prior to entering the store and was placed under arrest where she was transported to the police station for further processing.
Her blood-alcohol-content was reportedly .27 percent, officers said.
She was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Potsdam Village Court Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m., police said.
