POTSDAM – The Potsdam Village Board of Trustees have a resolution on their agenda for Monday night to sell a small lot it owns on Washington Street to a local homeowner and to set a hearing for annexation of some Clarkson University property into the village from the town.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Civic Center board room.
Ben Greer made the only bid -- $110 – for the property at 21 Washington St. Mayor Steve Yurgartis said Greer bid on the small lot – a “non-conforming” lot the village has no use for and that is too small to build a house on – because he has bought and is fixing up a house next to the lot. The village board will decide Monday if they will accept the bid.
The board intends to set Tuesday, Sept, 8 at 6:15 p.m. is the date and time of a hearing to discuss the details of a proposed annexation of some Clarkson land into the village.
The board will also act on the resignation of Margaret Garner as acting village justice, and attend to routine transfers of funds and paying bills.
