POTSDAM -- The village plans to pave about half a mile of May Road this summer as well as part of Main Street.
They will be using about $88,000 extra from the state Department of Transportation in its PaveNY and Extreme Winter programs.
The May Road work will be from the village line west to Leroy Street.
Department of Public Works Superintendent Bruce Henderson said about 1200 feet of Main Street between Morningside Drive and South Street is in need of repair due to high traffic in the area of the relatively new Collegiate Village development across Main from the SUNY Potsdam campus.
