POTSDAM – Potsdam Village employee Jim Corbett was cited at the village board meeting Tuesday night for his 30 years of service to Potsdam.
Corbett, a member of the Department of Public Works staff, was not at the meeting. He had already received a certificate from the village. But Mayor Ron Tischler had words of praise for Corbett.
“He does everything – electrical, plumbing, mechanical – and he does it all well,” Tischler said Wednesday.
Tischler said he also does a lot of work at the Damon Field, the Potsdam Municipal Airport.
Corbett is also a long-time member of the Potsdam Fire Department.
