POTSDAM -- Potsdam Village Department of Public Works staff are working to fix a water line on Depot Street this morning.
Crews began working on the problem around 7 a.m. this morning, digging up part of the roadway and parking lot at Potsdam Tire and Auto.
Crew leader Ken Clemons said they believe the the problem is with an old lateral line which used to feed Potsdam Tire and Auto years ago. He believes the line is abandoned.
No village residents are expected to be impacted by the problem.
Clemons said they would not know the extent of the issue until this afternoon.
"We're hoping it's not the main line, we don't think it is," he said.
