POTSDAM – The Village Board is holding two special public meetings this week for review of the budget for the year.
The board is working with a figure of $6.2 million in appropriations for the general fund.
The first meeting is this afternoon at 2:15 p.m. in the civic center. The board will be discussing appropriations for the police department; water, sewer and hydro; and public works. Village Clerk Lori Queor said those departments represent the largest departmental appropriations in the budget.
The second meeting is at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, also in the Civic Center.
The official budget hearing is set for 6:30 p.m. April 6, before the board’s regular meeting.
