Potsdam TV show episode discusses state's paid family leave act

POTSDAM -- The state’s paid family leave act set to take effect January 2018 is the topic of the latest installment of North Country Matters, the local public affairs video magazine filmed at the Fred W. Cleveland Computer Center at the Potsdam Library.

Blue Carreker, the upstate organizer for the Citizen Action of New York & Public Policy and Education Fund of New York, was an integral part of the campaign to get the bill passed and to educate people about the law and how access its provisions.

She talks with NCM host Donna Seymour about provisions of the law, the time table for implementation, the supporting regulations, the costs, and how to learn more.
