POTSDAM -- The village Board of Trustees approved a new local law Jan. 7 that will change parking rules on Elderkin and Cherry streets.
Examining the issue during the parking and traffic problems engendered by the opening of the Five Guys restaurant on Market Street at Elderkin, the board accepted a recommendation to prohibit parking on the south side of both of those two narrow streets at all times.
The action was taken in the interest of easing traffic on those streets and to provide easier access by snowplows.
