POTSDAM -- The village Board of Trustees approved on Monday night the new slate of officers elected by the Potsdam Fire Department.
Elected chief by firefighters was Danielle Rose.
Mayor Ron Tischler noted that Rose is the first female to be a fire chief in St. Lawrence County.
Also approved were:
• First Assistant Chief Timothy Jerome
• Second Assistant Chief Jerrid Lavoie
• Third Assistant Chief Justin Perry.
The officers will hold those positions until the next election next year.
