POTSDAM – Residents of the Town and Village of Potsdam should not be alarmed if they see a town truck helping out during the village’s annual fall brush and leaf pickup, says the town highway chief.
“They will borrow a truck from time to time – not often,” said Town of Potsdam Highway Superintendent John Keleher.
When asked and if it’s available, the town will lend a truck and driver to the village.
“We also plow the Pine Street Arena parking lot for the village,” he said.
“We keep track of it and give the board a report,” he said.
The amount is then charged against what village taxpayers pay in town taxes in the next reconciliation, Keleher said.
