POTSDAM – Potsdam Town Councilman Harold B. Demick Jr. died at his home Wednesday morning at the age of 78.
Demick was a longtime figure in town government having served for years on the town planning board before being elected councilman eight years ago.
He had chosen not to run for reelection in November, and his term was set to expire next month.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
Burial will follow in the Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
