POTSDAM -- A Potsdam teen was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a personal-injury accident on Pierrepont Avenue Saturday morning, according to Potsdam police.
Jack-Ian T. Byrnes, 17, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, operating a motor vehicle out of class, failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana.
A passenger that was riding with Byrnes was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue for minor injuries sustained during the accident.
Byrnes was taken into custody on scene and transported to the Potsdam Police Department for processing.
He was charged at 3:54 a.m. and released on tickets returnable in Potsdam court May 12.
