POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Summer Festival Parade Committee is seeking more participants for the festival’s parade July 16.
The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Walker Arena parking Lot on Clarkson Avenue and ends at on Main Street next to Old Snell Hall. The parade route is about .8 of a mile in length.
“The theme of the parade is Patriotic,” said parade organizer Tracy Tuttle, “and we are looking for any group, business, or organization that would like to march, create a float, have an interesting vehicle, or plays music to come and join the fun. There are no high school marching bands scheduled to perform due to a conflict with other regional events for them. We would love to have any other musical groups participate to fill this gap.”
To participate, contact Tracy Tuttle at 854-0238 or ttuttle@slnysarc.org or Marylee Ballou at 274-9000 or Potsdam@slic.com.
