POTSDAM -- With the forecast for Thursday and Friday calling for possible scattered thunderstorms, the Potsdam Chamber Commerce has made the following decisions when it comes to the Potsdam Summer Festival schedule.
First, the main stage performances will happen as long as it is safe to do so.
“Depending on how severe the rain comes down, wind levels, and duration of any storms, there could be delays in the start and end times of performances…but the order should remain the same,” said Executive Director Marylee Ballou. “Main stage will shut down for lightning and/or strong winds. We will do our best to give notice through the Potsdam Summer Festival Facebook page and local radio stations.”
The Community Band concert has been moved inside Pine Street Arena on Friday evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m.
The Outdoor Movie has also been moved inside Pine Street Arena with a start time of 8:30 p.m. People in the arena watching the band can remain inside on the bleachers until 8:15 pm. Movie watchers will be allowed onto the arena floor at 8:15 p.m. for the movie.
FunFlicks is scheduled to have snack concessions during these events.
“We still ask you to bring chairs, blankets, and such for movie watching.” Ballou said.
Saturday’s forecast is looking good, so there are no changes scheduled at this time.
