POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Robert J Freego AMVETS Post 282 is collecting weathered and worn U.S. flags for proper disposal.
Residents may drop off worn flags at the Amvets Post, 6771 State Route 11, in the wooden collection bin near the front door.
Worn and weathered U.S. flags can also be dropped of at the Potsdam Public Library to a library staff member and an Amvet member will pick them up.
A date and time when a flag burning ceremony will be held will be posted at a later date. Info: 261-4764.
