POTSDAM — The Potsdam Public Museum, 2 Park St., plans a spring exhibit of a set of china used by the last scion of the Potsdam Clarkson family.

The Villeroy & Boch china was used by Emilie Vallette Clarkson Moore and her husband William A. Moore, when they lived at 8 Cedar St., Potsdam.

It was recently donated to the museum by Jean Castle DiMicco, who grew up in Potsdam and knew Mrs. Moore personally. DiMicco’s father was the chauffeur and gardener for Mrs. Moore, who left the china to the Castle family.

Mrs. DiMicco used it for many years with fond memories of Mrs. Moore. She recently donated the set of china to the museum.

The Villeroy & Boch china was made in Germany between 1900 and 1930 and the pattern is called Saxony Dresden Red Poppy.

It will be on display at the museum in the spring.
