POTSDAM -- The election of four members to the Potsdam Public Library Board of Trustees will be on Tuesday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Potsdam Public Library Main Room. This election is the first one to be held in the library itself.
Voters will elect three people to serve terms of three years beginning July 1, for the seats now held by Pamela Yurgartis, William “Chip” Morris III and Dale Hobson, whose terms expire on June 30. The three incumbents, along with candidate Brenda Gravander, are running. Voters will also elect one member for a one-year term, to complete the unexpired term of the late Judith Greene.
A qualified voter is one who a citizen of the United States, 18 years old or older, and resident within the Potsdam Central School District for a 30 days preceding the election. The school district may require people to provide one form of proof of residency pursuant to Education Law. That could be a driver’s license, a non-driver identification card, a utility bill, or a voter registration card.
