POTSDAM — The Potsdam Police Department will participate in the Toys for Tots program for the second year in a row.
From Friday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 17 people can drop off a new, unwrapped toy in the donation bin located in the front lobby of the Potsdam Police Department, 38 Main St.
Toys for Tots is a national campaign that collects toys to be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of the program is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens, a press release from Potsdam police says.
“We look forward to the community support and wish everyone a safe, happy holiday season,” police said.
