POTSDAM — Members of the Potsdam Police Department participated in the New York State Seat Belt Mobilization with multiple details throughout the day June 3 where the department had extra officers on the road assigned to aggressively enforce vehicle and traffic violations.

The officers were available as part of the Police Traffic Services grant provided by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.

As a result of the details the following motorists were charged throughout the day on June 3:

• Precious D. Cain, 30, Alexandria, Va., was cited for speed in zone on Lawrence Avenue at 9:59 a.m. after being observed driving 48 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Gina M. Fiacco-Clouser, 51, Potsdam, was cited for speed in zone on Sandstone Drive at 3:54 p.m. after allegedly driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Joshua J. McGrath, 30, Norwood, was cited for speed in zone at 4:53 p.m. on Lower Pine Street after being observed driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Asha A. Spencer, 39, Rochester, was cited for speed in zone after allegedly driving 51 mph in a 30 mph zone on Sandstone Drive shortly before 5 p.m.

• Christopher R. Maroney, 28, Potsdam, was cited for speed in zone on Lower Pine Street at 5:10 p.m. after being observed driving 51 in a 30 mph zone.

• Julie E. Hunter, 39, Canton, was cited for speed in zone on Sandstone Drive at 5:12 p.m. after being observed driving 46 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Bhupendra Rai, 21, Rochester, was cited for speed in zone and unlicensed operator on Lawrence Avenue at 5:17 p.m. He was alleged driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone and only has a learner’s permit.

• Jenna E. Sencabaugh, 20, Shelburne, Mass., was cited for speed in zone on Market Street at 6:08 p.m. after driving 47 in a 30 mph zone.

• Kimberly A. Witherall, 24, Potsdam, was cited for driving without a seat belt on Maple Street at 6:27 p.m.

• Dante R. Viskovich, 19, Massena, was cited for speed in zone on Lower Pine Street at 6:52 p.m. after being observed driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Rebecca J. Black, 41, Raymondville, was cited for speed in zone on Sandstone Drive at 7:10 p.m. after being observed driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• James A. Wright, 34, Colton, was cited for uninspected motor vehicle on Sandstone Drive at 7:12 p.m.

• Bryan J. Jaquith, 23, Madrid, was cited at 8:44 p.m. on Clarkson Avenue for speeding after being observed driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone.

All of the above subjects were cited and released.
