POTSDAM -- High winds Wednesday had Potsdam Police Department officers fielding multiple complaints of trees and power lines down, and vehicles and houses being damaged.
Officers responding to a call about a large fallen tree that damaged a pickup truck, another downed tree that separated power lines from three poles on Larnard Street and then hit a porch causing significant damage, and numerous complaints of tree limbs down around the village.
Police credit the Potsdam Fire Department, the village Department of Public Works, and National Grid with helping them take care of these problems.
