POTSDAM – A public hearing concerning the rehabilitation of the Hewittville Road bridge in Potsdam will take place Tuesday, Aug. 12, according to St. Lawrence County Legislator Jason A. Clark (D-Norfolk).
The meeting will take placefrom 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Potsdam Community Room,18 Elm St.
The St. Lawrence County Department of Highways has initiated a project to rehabilitate the Hewittville Road Bridge that crosses the Raquette River and the public is invited to learn about the proposed schedule, view schematics, provide comments on the project and receive answers to questions that they may have.
“This is a valuable opportunity for local residents to better understand the project and proposed timeframe,” Legislator Jason A. Clark said.
“With some of the work coinciding with the beginning of the school year, it is very important that the public be as informed as possible. I hope to see as many people as possible attend the hearing,” Clark said.
Should residents have questions, they should contact Donald Chambers, St. Lawrence County department of Highways, at 379-1542 or Clark at 617-312-8594.
