POTSDAM – Potsdam middle school student Scott Bollt recently participated at the Ying Tri Region Science and Engineering Fair. His research and development of the Trajectory Calculator included hundreds of hours of calculations and trials.
For his project, he has been invited to apply for the Broadcom Masters, for outstanding performance at an SSP-Affiliated Fair, a national science fair for middle school youth in Washington D.C. to compete for a $25,0000 grand prize.
He also won a U.S. Metric Association Award and the Dr. Nelson Ying Tri-Region Science and Engineering Fair 2012 County Science Champion Award (SLC), with a $100 prize and a blue ribbon medal for research students who show clear, in-depth understanding of a scientific or engineering principle.
