POTSDAM -- Students at A.A. Kingston Middle School, along with thousands of other students around the world, participated in Global School Play Day (GSPD) Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The event involves one full day of unstructured play. According to Global School Play Day’s website, almost 300,000 students from around the world took part in the event to spread awareness about the importance of unstructured play in child development.
At A.A. Kingston, stations were set up where students could play board games, color, create their own crafts and other activities without the help of the teacher.
Students were not able to use any electronic devices or computers.
Various classrooms at A. A. Kingston participated in this event.
