POTSDAM -- A group of five students from A.A. Kingston Middle School in Potsdam took fourth place at the North Country Jr. Iron Chef Competition.
Nathan Greene, Deven Leggett, Justin LaPoint, Hawkeye Douglass, and Tyler Greene, were members of the Fantastic Five. They prepared a heart vegetable soup served with a garlic-cheese bread crouton.
The Fantasitc Five won an honorable mention award for placing fourth out of 17.
Adult assistants in the recipe development, practices and proper techniques were Brenda Snyder and Dawn Rottier.
