POTSDAM – Mayor Ron Tischler is urging everyone to get out and vote today, “whether you vote with your head or your heart.”
At Monday night’s village Board of Trustees meeting, Mayor Tischler said many people will complain about local government, but rather than just complain, people should try to elect someone they can back.
Voters in St. Lawrence County will elect a new district attorney to replace controversial DA Mary Rain, who is not running again.
Also to be chosen are a county coroner, town supervisors in Canton and Massena, village trustees in Canton, and many other candidates for local offices all over the county. An earlier story details the elections in the county.
He said he would like everyone to go and vote tonight before the polls close at 9 p.m.
