MASSENA -- Village police say a Potsdam man was jailed on 14 counts, including aggravated DWI and resisting arrest, following a traffic stop.
At 11:42 p.m. on Boynton Street, officers pulled over Vernon R. Murray, 50, of state Route 56, Potsdam.
He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, failure to comply, unsafe backing, resisting arrest, refusing a roadside breath test, speed not reasonable, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to update address with DMV and three counts of failure to signal, police said.
Murray was arraigned by Massena Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond, police said.
