POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man was sent to the hospital after crashing his vehicle into the front porch of a home on U.S. Highway 11 on Tuesday night, according to state police.
A 2013 Ford Focus driven by Kyle D. Liebfred, 21, Potsdam, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 11 when his vehicle ran off the road, striking a tree and then a residence at 7065 State Route 11.
Liebfred sustained minor cuts and bruises and a bruised lung, all of which were determined to be non-life threatening injuries, police said.
He was transported and treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, troopers said.
He was cited for failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent. Both tickets are returnable to the Town of Potsdam Court Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.
Police did not report any injuries to anyone inside the home.
